Kirsta and Josh met while they were both in grad school at the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. They met one night at a bar, and have been inseparable ever since. Just one month after meeting each other, they went on a 10-day road trip through Colorado, Utah, Arizona, and Nevada. After that, they realized they worked very well together, and had something special.

Almost 6 years later, Josh and Kirsta took a hike in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, Mt. Lafayette, (in Kirsta's hometown) where Josh got down on one knee and asked Kirsta to marry her. They then spent the evening celebrating with Kirsta's family, and the following evening at a local concert with some of Kirsta's closest friends.
