Do I need a passport?
Yes! All guests will need a valid passport to enter Canada. See "Passport Info" page for more information.

What is the dress code?
We want everyone to look and feel their best, and are requesting formal attire. For women, this is midi or maxi dresses. For men, a traditional suit and tie.
Please be mindful that the ceremony will be held outdoors, so stiletto heels might be difficult!

Will there be a registry?
No, we know it's a lot to travel, especially internationally, and your presence on our special day is truly the best gift. But if you feel inclined to give us a gift, we are asking our guests to contribute to our honeymoon fund.

What time should I arrive?
The shuttle busses will be picking up at the Malcom Hotel at 3:30pm on Friday, August 21st. For people not staying at the hotel, you can walk/uber/drive to the Malcom hotel and pick up the shuttle! The ceremony then promptly starts at 4:30pm.

Should I rent a car?
We recommend renting a car, since there isn’t an easy way to get to Canmore otherwise. Plus, we highly recommend extending your stay and exploring the stunning surrounding areas!

Will transportation be provided day of?
Yes, transportation will be provided from Canmore to the ceremony, then to the reception, and back to Canmore in the evening.

What will the weather be like?
The weather can vary in the Canadian Rockies, but it’s typically between 47°F (low) to 72°F (high) in August in Canmore.

Can I bring a plus one?
Due to capacity restrictions at the venue, we ask that only the people on the RSVP come.

Can we bring our children?
While we love your little ones, we ask that this is an adult-only affair, unless otherwise written on your invitation.

Do I need an adapter for my electronics?
No! Luckily the US and Canada use the same pronged outlets, so you will not need any adapters.

What is the exchange rate?
As of 2025, the CAD exchange rate to USD is 0.71, which means the CAD is ~30% cheaper, which we like to think of as a “30% discount!”

Will I need to get Canadian cash?
Only if you want to, but Canada takes major credit cards almost everywhere, so cash shouldn’t be needed.

I have a criminal record, am I allowed in Canada?
As of December 2018, Canada does not allow United States residents into the county if they have a criminal record. In order to enter they country, you may need to get a Temporary Resident Permit (TRP) with the RNMP, this can be done online and comes with a fee. Otherwise, you may be stopped and turned around at the border.
